Dr. Vuyo works well with new Canadians who struggle with adjustment to the North American culture through group therapy for teenagers of immigrant parents. She provides Clinical Assessments and Psycho-Educational Diagnostic Assessments that help to clarify issues related to Learning Difficulties and other school related concerns. Her approach to psychotherapy is client-centered, employing evidence-based strategies, such as Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) as well as Family Systems.

Catherine – Registered Psychotherapist

Catherine is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).

She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology. With many years of experience, she is dedicated to supporting both couples and individuals.

Catherine is passionate about guiding her clients through their counselling journeys. She understands that seeking therapy can feel daunting and strives to create a safe, trusting, and welcoming environment where clients feel comfortable exploring what truly matters to them.

As a couples therapist, Catherine has completed post-graduate training in two leading evidence-based methodologies: Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and the Gottman Method. She is skilled at helping couples navigate challenges such as communication breakdowns, stress, and infidelity using these proven approaches.

Catherine is also a Certified Sex Therapy Informed Professional through the Integrative Sex Therapy Institute and has specialized training in: - Healing affairs and repairing attachment injuries (EFT) - Treating affairs and trauma (Gottman Method)
